As electric vehicles make their way into a 100-unit Laval complex, the board began parking space electrification process for EV chargers. At the end, a procedure was established by the building (tenant billed at request) and there is now EV charging for three condos, one Tesla Wall Connector and two FLO G5s.
The parking spaces of the complex are interior, allowing an easy access from the electrical room in the basement. An Electric Vehicle Energy Management System (EVEMS) made it possible to have EV charging per unit and electricity consumption automatically billed accordingly.
At the time of the project development, three tenants were excited electrifying their parking space. In order to respect a tenant-billed principle, the Individual Approach was chosen.
In January 2020, an electrical contractor installed three EVEMS units (models were DCC-9), two FLO G5 chargers and one Tesla Wall Connector.
